Hints for you beijing shopping fever

Hints for you Beijing shopping fever

The opening up of Beijing to the West has had a profound impact on shopping. A wide range of consumer goods both local and imported are now available and there are many bargains to be found throughout the city.

hotel, china, beijing

Remember: most shops are open daily 9am-8pm . There is no sales tax in China.
Do not forget that haggle is essential especially in touristy markets and shopping areas for common items. Starting your bargain at least with 1/3 of the price-still sounds good whilst keeping the walking-away technique as your last chance to get the lowest price!

The main shopping area is around Wangfujing Dajie and XiDan, where there are a number of department stores, including the Beijing Department Store, which primarily caters for the chinese market whilst ZhongGuanCun, often dubbed 'China's Silicon Valley', continues to be a centre for electronics and computer-related industries. In other words Zhong Guan Cun (is a must! You can find almost everything from speakers to computer parts at an astonishingly low price. It is located just a couple miles from Tsinghua University. Avoid vendors inviting in their shops. Remember that there is a lack of standards in these items and theres no return policy.

So at least dont pay too much. Regarding pirated CDs and DVDs, you can get them for not more than 5 to 10 Yuan. Although quality is not too high, at least make sure you are buying the English version! Look for this: '??' = yingwen. But maybe one of the best suggestions we can give you is for you to exercise collective shopping!! It works quite well!! If you are with friends, try buying things at the same time. Vendors are obliged to make discounts!

If you wish to buy where Chinese buy, with the best prices, almost no need to bargain and a lot of genuine goods, try the clothing market in Xizhi Men, next to the Zoo. Once there look for the new giant building standing just in front and walk behind it.

Is you wish to buy silk then reach SanLiTun YaShou Market (58, Gongti Beilu) with good prices and not so popular among tourists as the Silk Street (8 East Xiushui Street Jianguo Men Wai Dajie).

If you need very cheap items for your trip, see the leading Outdoor Gear Stores Sanfo located in different areas of the Beijing. (Try at Building 4, Entrance 5, Nancun, Madian. Take metro 2 to Zhishuitan; or bus 315, 344 or 345 to Madian. The store is located southside of Bei Sanhuan, west of Madian intersection. Or other departments at Jinzhiqiao Dasha, Guomen, Chaoyang District).

Xidan Market (West of Tiananmen square): in the area around the subway station there are several large malls but there is also a market which is quite good! Remember that, especially in these markets, credit cards are not so extensively accepted. Anyways, this situation is getting better as the Olympics Games approach. Last but not least, be wary of fake money: there are a lot of counterfeit bills in circulation.

As saving money is a common travellers aim in order to experience as much as possible, accommodation is often an important voice. Dongcheng District is mostly a middle-class residential area hosting significant locations youll love to see: Forbidden City, Tian'anmen Square, Zhongshan Park and Ditan Park and the National Museum of China. In the same area there are quite a lot youth hostels for international backpackers. The 9 dragons youth hostel, the Beijing New Dragon Hostel, Beijing City Central youth Hostel, the Saga youth Hostel, the Courtyard Hotel, Beijing Harbour Inn Hostel are for sure some budget solutions.

We hopefully have been of any help and we wish you a fantastic shopping time in Beijing, China!

History of dog breeding

History of Dog Breeding

Studies revealed that humans already loved pets even during the pre-historic days. For thousands of years, man has established a good relationship with specific dog types. Useful dogs are treated nicely and are fed regularly. As years passed, domesticated dogs were developed and at present, there are already different groups or types of dogs like the sight hounds, guardian or livestock dogs, and the hunting dogs. To maintain such differences, the people intentionally mated different breeds to uphold certain characteristics.

Purebreds were for the rich and famous but that was years ago. Dogs today are more affordable because of the extreme competition in the dog breeding industry. Some breeders concentrate mainly on purebreds while others focus on mix breed or cross breed dogs. There are different types of breeding such as inbreeding, line breeding, and out-crossing.

Dogs should be registered with the dog registry like kennel clubs. Owners of studs should also be registered so that you can receive the necessary documents. The American Kennel Club or AKC is quite popular in the US and you can find a huge database of all the dogs there with their respective lineage, working qualities, and achievements. These dogs are also the ones who are associated with the kennel clubs in the US.

Purebreds also have their own records in the registry. Dog breeders are encouraged to check with the registry to learn more about a particular dog breed. The records can help a breeder in analyzing the traits, pedigrees, and other valuable information. The registration of purebreds and mixed breeds vary depending on the state you live in, the registries, and kennel clubs. A certain breed already has an established standard that breeders should follow. They must abide with the rules to ensure the health of dogs.

Dogs are required to undergo hip certifications, joint X-rays, and even eye exams. Special tests or trials should be passed by your dog to get the certification. An expert will evaluate your dogs working qualities and other factors before a certification is issued.

The new breeders are often called backyard breeders. Those mass producing businesses are called puppy farms or puppy mills. Dog breeding is considered unethical by animal rightists. But its up to the dog breeder to practice ethics in the conduct of his business.

These animal rightists claim that inbreeding dogs should not be encouraged because genetic disorders are increased. They also claim that there is already an overpopulation of pets in the world today and they also protest against the yearly killings of dogs in animal shelters.

Dog breeders are already aware that dogs possess inheritable characteristics just like humans. It is therefore very important that only the good genes are passed on to the puppies. Among the common hereditary problems are hip dysplasia, eye problems, heart conditions, deafness, bone or joint, etc.

Dog registries and breed clubs are conducting extensive studies on these conditions so that breeders will have adequate information on how to prevent such genetic defects. The OFA (Orthopedic Foundation of Animals) is also collecting useful data for the benefit of dog breeders.

Dog breeding is rich in history. For thousands of years, people cared for dogs and its no wonder that dogs are closest to man of all the animals or pets. So, do you want to become a dog breeder? Decide now.

Hire a big brother to discipline employees

Hire a Big Brother to Discipline Employees

Make your employees more productive, and prevent entertainment at the workplace with KGB Keylogger, a keyboard logging and monitoring product that is designed specifically for small companies.

keyboard, capture, keylogger, key logger, monitor keyboard, log keyboard, log key press

If you are managing a team of IT workers or just have a secretary sitting in front of a computer, chances are that they don't spend all of their paid work time doing their assigned jobs. Instead, they might be doing all sorts of stuff: reading news, watching YouTube flicks, or even playing computer games. As obvious as it sounds, it is not easy to catch them playing an office-killer game, as these games often come with the 'boss key' feature, which makes the game disappear quickly when they press a single button.

What can you do to make your employees more productive, and to stop them from chatting or playing games at the workplace?

The first and obvious choice, at least for IT related industries, is using Windows built-in user account control and security policies to prevent running any applications that are not explicitly permitted. For example, this would limit the download and use of any chat and instant messenger programs. Unfortunately, too tight a policy can severely limit their working performance should they need to do something that was not initially permitted. On the other hand, a too loose policy may open doors to Flash-based games, Java or even Web-based chats. Finding the right balance between security and productivity is a complex and time consuming task.

The second obvious choice, especially for non-IT professions, is putting a video surveillance system in place. Video cameras, even if they aren't actually recording, are great psychological stimuli that help employees concentrate on work instead of entertainment. On the other hand, video surveillance is often perceived as a major drawback by employees, and may even be criticized and opposed by the unions. For a small company, video surveillance may be too much of a commitment.

Installing software that will monitor your employee's use of their computers does not have the drawbacks of overly tight security policies or the opposition associated with video surveillance. Unlike security policies and user account control, logging software does not prevent users from doing things that are part of their job. It also does not stick on the wall to scare employees, and under no circumstances does it interfere with their private lives.

KGB Keylogger by Refog is a keyboard logging and monitoring product that perfectly complements a reasonable Windows security policy, and completely replaces obtrusive video surveillance at a fraction of the price. KGB Keylogger has a special feature set that is designed specifically for small companies. While completely invisible and unobtrusive to the employees, the product saves all key presses into a log file, registers all web sites they visit, and makes periodic screen shots of their work PC. You can easily access these logs from a central FTP server, or have KGB Keylogger email them to you periodically. If they do a lot of typing, you can filter out Office applications to make the logs easier to read.

Complement your security policy and replace obtrusive video surveillance with KGB Keylogger at a fraction of the price. Download your free evaluation copy at:

Hip hop jewelry and today s stars

Hip-hop Jewelry and Today's Stars

Watch any of the major movie, television, and music award shows on television today and one of the first things youll notice about the celebrities on the red carpet, aside from their extravagant (and sometimes outlandish) attire, are the amount and size of the jewelry they are wearing. Hip-hop jewelry, more commonly known as bling-bling, is definitely not understated fashion. The bigger and the flashier it is, the better. Preferred by many of todays celebrities, hip-hop jewelry adorns the fingers, necks, arms, even the teeth of many stars.

Oversized studs and chains are the trademarks of hip-hop jewelry and are preferred by celebrities such as Sean Combs, or P. Diddy. At the 2004 MTV Video Music Awards, he sported a diamond ring, bracelet, and watch from Jacob and Company. Rapper 50 Cent is another celebrity who is hardly ever seen without his hip-hop jewelry. On his web site, 50 Cent offers more affordable, though just as flashy, bling-bling for those of us who do not earn the megabucks that he and his fellow celebrities rake in. There are also many other web sites that offer low-priced hip-hop jewelry inspired by popular rap artists.

Hip-hop jewelry comes in many shapes and sizes, all of them meant to catch the eye and attract attention. Heavy chains of silver or gold (or both) can oftentimes be seen on celebrities such as LL Cool J and Ja Rule in their music videos. Hip-hop jewelry web sites offer fully iced-out bling-bling, or watches, rings, bracelets and earrings that are heavily decorated with real or faux diamonds. So-called spinner watches and rings are big best sellers in the hip-hop jewelry category. Also available are customized, removable gold, silver and platinum teeth which may be studded with jewels and gemstones, so even the pearly whites can have their share of hip-hop jewelry.

Women celebrities are keeping pace with their male counterparts when it comes to wearing hip-hop jewelry. Stars such as Beyonce, Lil Kim, Ashanti and Missy Elliott are regularly seen in pictures wearing large diamond jewelry items of various colors. Even young female celebrities are getting on the bling-bling bandwagon. Teen stars like Jo Jo and Hilary Duff are said to be avid hip-hop jewelry enthusiasts and count themselves among the large number of bejeweled stars today.

Large, ostentatious pieces of jewelry did not start becoming popular only because of the hip-hop cultural phenomenon (think Elvis Presley and Tom Jones), but hip-hop has altered the jewelry market in a big way. Fans see what their favorite celebrities are wearing, and there are numerous options for them to emulate their idols at least in terms of fashion. Jewelry has always been a part of popular culture, and todays hip-hop jewelry and the celebrities who wear them are even more so in this age of instant information.

In a picturesque setting nestled along the Carolina coastline, lies one of Americas oldest and most beautiful cities. Charleston, South Carolina is richly laden with history and culture. From murderous pirates to the opening scene of the Civil War, each step down its cobblestone streets have their own story to tell. In the seventeenth century, Charles II of England granted 8 supporters the soil of Carolina. Under the direction of these 8 Lord Proprietors, Charles Towne was founded in 1670. Lord Shaftesbury, the proprietor with the greatest influence on Carolina, contributed many ideas on government and way of life. He is also known for creating the street plan which exists today.

With its great number of beautiful spires and steeples reaching from its churches towards the sky, Charles Towne was nicknamed The Holy City. It was notorious for its religious tolerance to all, including the french Huguenots and the Jews. Even today you can walk the streets and find a plethora of churches in this accepting community.

Charles Towne was almost too perfect with its wide open harbor creating easy access for trading with the rest of the world. Within 20 years, this booming town became one of the largest cities in North America. All types of trading took place bringing in exciting and unfamiliar products from the West Indies. As years passed, slaves arrived in astounding numbers and soon outnumbered the white populace. There was many a rumor of an uproar planned by a free black named Denmark Vesey. Predictably this caused much concern among the slave owners and long established citizens of Charleston. The dissenters were captured and jailed as to prevent what was most feared. Another scare for Charleston was the arrival of murderous pirates. Seeking to have part of Charles Townes newfound prosperity, they took at their own will and murdered those who blocked their way. The notorious Blackbeard the pirate was among these and eventually ended up being captured and killed by a small group of Virginians.

After the descent of the British in 1783, the European namesake Charles Towne was officially changed to Charleston. One of Charlestons claims to fame is its being the setting of the opening battle of the Civil War. President Abraham Lincoln sent word to South Carolina of his intention to send supplies to Fort Sumter. South Carolina believed this to be a trick and asked the commander of the fort to surrender. Shots were fired, inviting the beginning of an event that would change the nation forever.

When you come to visit Charleston, you will be transported back in time with every historic site you see. With its tree lined streets, majestic colonial estates, and century old plantations you will fall in love at first glance.

Hip flexors the most underdeveloped muscle group in strength training

Hip flexors - the most underdeveloped muscle group in strength training

Strong hip flexors provide an advantage in a wide range of sports and athletic activities but they are the most neglected muscle group in strength training. The problem in developing hip flexor strength has been the lack of appropriate exercises, but the development of flexor-specific apparatus offers great potential for fully developing these muscles.

Despite their importance to a wide range of athletic and sporting activities, the hip flexors are the most neglected major muscle group in strength training. It is very rare to find training programs that include hip flexor exercises. By contrast there is usually a great deal of emphasis on exercises for the leg extensors.

There are some obvious reasons for this comparative neglect. The principal muscles involved in hip flexion are the psoas and the iliacus, collectively known as the iliopsoas. Because they are relatively deep-seated rather than surface muscles they may have been overlooked by bodybuilders who have traditionally been the major innovators in strength training. Secondly, there are no obvious ways to adequately exercise them with free weights. Finally, these muscles do not have the obvious functional importance of their extensor counterparts. Yet, as antagonists, both hip and knee flexors perform a vital role in controlling the rate of descent and ascent in leg extension exercises such as th

I come from a family of golfers. Golf is the favorite recreation of everyone in my family, including my grandparents, my mom and dad, myself and my four siblings. Every year, we have a family reunion of sorts featuring all my relatives from my father's side. At those gathering, the entire clan always has a sportsfest wherein each of the different families take on one another in four key sports. We always win the golf competition. The others are volleyball, ping pong and chess.

My dad told me to study chess for next year's family sportsfest. I complained a lot at the beginning but have grown quite fond of the game. I often like to recite the history of the game to my friends and, actually, to anyone willing to listen.

Like the game of golf, chess also has a number of fathers as many countries claim to have originated the game. This has some basis especially if you note that the Arabic, Persian, Greek, Portuguese and Spanish words for chess are all derived from the Sanskrit game Chaturanga. You might also want to consider the fact that among all countries, only India had three animals in its cavalry -- the horse, camel and elephant. In chess, these are believed to be represented by the knight, bishop and rook.

In addition, in the past only India had all three animals, horse, camel and elephant, in its cavalry, which represent knight, bishop and rook in chess. Also, there are a lot of similarities between the way chess is played today and the way Chaturanga was played in India during the 6th century. Historians believe the Persians later created a more popular version of the game and called it Shatranj. But there is yet another theory that claims that chess started from a game called Xiangqi that traces its roots to China during the 2nd century. there are a number of well-known scholars and historians who support the latter theory.

Eventually, the popularity of chess caught on in the west particularly in Europe as well as to the east particularly in Japan. Chess also started to spread throughout the world of Islam following the Muslim's conquest of Persia. After some time, chess found its way to Russia (via Mongolia) where people started playing it in the 7th century. In the 10th century, the Moors introduced chess into the Iberian Peninsula as mentioned in a popular 13th century manuscript that also covered backgammon and dice, which was referred to as the Libro de los juegos. Historians say that the entry of chess into Europe is characterized by the enhancement of the queen's powers.

History of blogging

An Overview of the History of Blogging

Do you know what blogging is? Well, if you still dont know yet, blogging has played a very important role in politics. And this is true to almost every country around the world. If you're looking for news and information, blogs are just the right source.

If you want to know more about blogging, you should look into its history. Before blogs became popular online, digital communities had many forms such as Usenet, commercial online services like BiX, Genie, CompuServe, BBS, and email lists. By the 1990's, WebEx was able to create running conversations. They used 'threads' which serve as topical connections. Some say that blogging is just like the 20th century's project on Mass Observation.

Brian Redman managed mod.ber and it was created in 1983. He and some of his associates posted interesting summaries of threads and postings that took place somewhere on the internet. It was strongly likened to blogs because of the style in journal publishing being used. The posted summaries also contained links to cool places and other interesting places chosen by a certain blogger. However, mod.ber no longer operated after about eight months.

Blogs are like online diaries because it tells about the personal lives of the bloggers. The writers often call themselves journalers, journalists, or diarists, and escribitionists. Journal communities are already present online especially nowadays. One of the early bloggers known in history was Brad Fitzpatrick. Jerry Pournelle and Justin Hall were also early bloggers. Way back in 1994, there was an early blog which combines text, pictures, and video and it was transmitted live using an EyeTap device and wearable computer.

The first ever hired blogger was Steve Gibson and his blogs together with that of Stephen Heaslip which evolved from John Carmack plans. Carmack was a game programmer who published a popular journal through 'finger protocol'. Ritual Entertainment hired Gibson last February 1997.

You can find both personal homepages and corporate sites that contain blogs. Oftentimes, these sites have news and 'what's new' sections. Drudge Report is a very good example of a weblog that focused on news. It was founded by Matt Drudge, a maverick reporter. In 1998 the Institute of Public Accuracy began posting news-pegged quotes, usually one-paragraphed, and it was released a number of times each week. Tongue-in-cheek was also a noted blog precursor updated by Kibo, a Usenet legend.

The blogs recognized by people today are produced through a distinct class online publishing. Thanks to the evolution of the tools used in the production, facilitation, and maintenance of all the web articles. The feasible publishing process resulted to a larger and less technical populace. There are now a lot of hosting services exclusively for blogs and they are run through the use of blog software. Some examples are Movable Type, WordPress, LiveJournal, Blogger, and many other regular hosting services on the web.

The term blog was first used by P. Merholz by breaking the word weblog to 'we blog'. Later on, blog was adopted as a verb and a noun. When you say 'to blog', it means to post or to edit a weblog.

At present, blogs play a very important role since many political candidates, political consultants, and new services are using them. The blogs are opinion forming and it can effectively bond with a blogger's desired constituents. Blogging is already part of the web's infinite services and many people are using it for different purposes. How about you, do you want to become a blogger?

Thousands of visitors come to Hilton Head Island each summer for pristine beaches, a high-class small town atmosphere, and resort vacationing. But this place is fun in other seasons, too! Because of Hilton Head's prime location at the southernmost tip of South Carolina's coastline, temperatures here are pleasant-rarely does Hilton Head Island see snow flurries, even in the middle of winter. Not only is the weather nice all year long, but there's so much to do!

Hilton Head Island in the wintertime is devoid of the summer's hustle and bustle, allowing for a more relaxing, laid-back environment. Off-season visitors will find more reasonable prices for their vacations and accommodations, than they would have paid during the extremely busy summer months, but can also indulge in any of the dozens of family-centered activities. For example, the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina has scheduled photography and contemporary art exhibits, as well as appearances by various entertainers including the likes of Groucho Marx (played by actor Frank Ferrante)! The Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra will present a handful of music-filled evenings including the 2007 BrahmsFest, in response to the overwhelming reception of 2006's BeethovenFest.

Other annual celebrations planned for this fall/winter/spring include the Festival of Trees in November, the Community Festival in October, the Trolley Tours of Hilton Head showing the island's best Christmas decorations in mid-December, and the Christmas Tour of Homes by the Hilton Head Choral Society highlighting six gorgeous estates dripping with extravagant dcor. Islanders also enjoy taking a slow drive through North Forest Beach to view the community's festive holiday displays-no admission fee is required, though contributions to the town's Deep Well Fund are encouraged. And Harbourtown's popular musician, Gregg Russell, performs his Christmas Concert right before the holiday.

Islanders and visitors without other Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day plans are issued an open invitation to come sit elbow-to-elbow with their neighbors at the holidays' now-traditional community dinners. Members at St. Andrew-by-the-Sea United Methodist Church first hosted a free Thanksgiving Dinner at Hudson's Seafood House on the Docks in 1999, and this continuing meal has grown into such a beloved ritual that it spawned a similar annual feast at Sticky Fingers Rib House on Christmas Day.

Summer is a fabulous time for a beach vacation here, but dozens of sporting events are scheduled for wintertime. The Thanksgiving Turkey Tennis Tournament, the Candy Cane Classic Hilton Head golf tournament, the South Carolina Chef classic golf tournament, the MCI Junior Heritage in February followed by the MCI Heritage of Golf in April, and the U.S. Open Qualifier golf tournament in May are among the best of and athletic offerings. Hilton Head Celebrity Golf is another annual tournament in September.

Additional events, like the Taste of the Season cuisine extravaganza at the Sea Pines Country Club or the Jazz Lover's Club Concert, happen all the time during Hilton Head Island's off-season. For nature enthusiasts, bird-watching tours and daytime dolphin cruises are available every month of the year. Regular, everyday activities like bowling (Main Street Lanes) and movie theaters (Hilton Head has three; two regular, multi-screen complexes and one independent film theater at Coligny Plaza) provide a low-key evening out. And do not forget the island's salons and spa experiences for both couples and individuals-schedule a massage or entire spa day package for vacation de-stressing.

Hilton Head Island has a fabulous reputation for summer vacationing and romantic getaways, but that does not mean visitors should ignore it during off-season months. Hilton Head has a multitude of fun activities, romantic settings, relaxing concerts, loud sporting events, and fresh family-oriented entertainment for winter vacationers that will keep thoughts of the beach far away.

The annual Concours d'Elegance is a celebration of automotive history that convenes in early November at the Honey Horn Plantation grounds. Proud owners drive their rare, classic, and antique cars all over the Island's roads, often dressed in period finery. A wave to those drivers will likely earn a happy "Ahh-Oo-Gah!" toot in response, along with big smiles all around!

When the weather gets crisp and the waters chill, the oyster roasts commence! These fat, salty-sweet mollusks are pulled from local waters by the bushel and steamed over open fires under wraps of wet burlap. Hissing with steam, the cooked oysters are drenched in lemon butter and hot sauce and devoured by knife-wielding diners, then rinsed down with lots of sweet tea or icy beer! Many clubs and civic groups use oyster roasts to fund their projects. Of course, islanders understand that oysters may not appeal to all tastes; other feasts include chili cook-offs, wine fests, soup challenges, and "Low Country boils" featuring shrimp, corn, onions, potatoes, & sausage all cooked together in spicy broth.

Investing in local Hilton Head real estate is another exciting and advantageous "to-do" between summers. Potential homebuyers might find the home of their dreams with a lower price tag during the winter months. During the vacation-season lull, when rental revenues are lower, owners often consider selling or "trading up" investment property. Opportunities to "purchase a piece of Paradise" make the fall and winter months an ideal time to become acquainted with Hilton Head Island.

The best thing about Hilton Head Island is that it's a year-round hotspot. World-class beaches during the summer, golf tournaments and concerts when it's cooler, and scores of spas, first-class restaurants, and resorts open throughout the year expose Hilton Head's true character-the perfect vacation getaway for any season.

The terminology low-carb wasnt really coined until around 1992 when the USDA announced Americas model food pyramid included six to eleven servings daily of grains and starches. However, low-carb dieting dates back more than 100 years before the trendy atkins diet to 1864 with a pamphlet titled Letter on Corpulence written by William Banting, as close to the first commercial low-carb diet as you could get.

Banting had suffered a series of debilitating health problems due mainly to being overweight or corpulent. Hiring home contractor

Hiring Home Contractor

Before you add that deck or put in that new air conditioner, know how to avoid the common mistakes people make when hiring a home contractor.

home contractor, contractor, real estate

Have you ever had a problem with a home contractor? You're not alone. A friend of mine paid over seven thousand dollars to have his roof repaired, only to have it leak the next time it rained. The contractor made excuses, but never did a thing about it - and my friend was an attorney! To make situations like this less likely, avoid the following mistakes when hiring a contractor.

1. Not being clear about what you want. When you don't know what you want, you might not like what you get. If you change your mind and change the job halfway through, the contract - and price - will change. Hint: it won't get cheaper. Be clear on what you want done.

2. Not getting it in writing. Hearing "I didn't say I was going to include the gutters," could be a problem, or you could point to the contract.

3. No dates in the contract. Do you want the job finished this year? Be sure you have it in the contract.

4. Too much money up front. Deposits are a reasonable request when contracts are signed. The home con

History of football soccer

History of Football (Soccer)

It has grown to possibly the biggest game on earth but what is football's origins and history. Read on to learn more.

Since time immemorial mankind has played various ball games. Evidence of which can be seen in many ancient societies, ancient Greek society being an example. The beginnings of the modern game however began in Britain in the times leading up to the industrial revolution. Whole villages would band together against other villages in games, which would span several fields. These games were often violent and there wasnt any particular restrictions on which body parts you could use.

Variances of such games continued for some time until the 19th century. More and more people were leaving their villages for the industry of towns. People were feeling pride and allegiances to their fast growing towns and soon people wanted to represent their own towns in competition with the other new fast growing towns around them. Soon games where-by you could only use your feet were being played in stadiums between the burgeoning settlements. At this stage in history there were no crossbars on the goals, only a piece of flimsy

Hispanic immigrants demonstrate illegal not in spanish dictionary

Hispanic Immigrants Demonstrate; "Illegal" Not In Spanish Dictionary

Hispanic iimmigrants by the thousands demonstrated about what they claim is their right to become citizens of the land of the gringo. While we welcome the effort of everyone who wishes to become a citizen of our free and frazzled nation, we did note that there appeared to be no distinction made between immigrants who reside here in placid legality and those who do so with anxious illegality.

We looked into the matter and discovered that the word illegal is actually not in the Spanish dictionary. We entered the English version in an online Spanish-English dictionary, which returned the following result: Spanish Matches: Sorry, no Spanish matches found.

This explanation seemed too easy, so we decided we had inadequately pursued the matter and went at it again. We then learned that there is indeed a spanish word for illegal, but, expectedly enough, its spelled slight

History and technology of hybrid cars

The history and technology of hybrid cars: The past and the future

Most people love their cars to the extreme, but with the constant skyrocketing of gasoline prices, a lot of people are pressed to think of alternatives. For those who want to cut back on fuel money, they may consider buying hybrid cars.

Hybrid cars are a combination of the features of gasoline-powered vehicles and electric cars. The advantage that hybrid cars hold over conventional cars is that they produce fewer emissions and adds considerable mileage.

But first, where did these cars came from and how are they made?

The very first electric vehicle was created by Robert Anderson from Aberdeen, Scotland in 1839. Later in 1870, Sir David Salomon came up with a vehicle equipped with a lightweight electric motor, along with storage batteries that were much too heavy. Predictably, the speed and the range of the car were not so desirable.

Over the years, several automobile manufacturers such as General Motors have improved on the concept of the electric cars, which later evolved into the hybrids that we know today. The most popular of these hybrids are the Insight from Honda and the Prius from Toyota.

These two exceptional vehicles can be used to explain the intricate and sophisticated technology of hybrid cars.

1. Honda Insight

The Insight runs on a system called "Integrated Motor Assist," a term coined by Honda to describe its electric motor attached to the engine at the position usually occupied by the flywheel. This model has two kinds of transmission, the regular, manual transmission and the automatic one.

The advantages of the electric motor on the Insight are the following:

-It can support the gasoline engine by giving off additional power while the vehicle is climbing up or going down a hill.

-The motor can start the engine by itself without the aid of a starter.

-Captures energy while on the process of braking.

The Insight relies on three main areas for efficiency:

-It makes use of lightweight aluminum for its body to reduce the total weight of the vehicle.

-Utilizes a small engine which operates efficiently, which weighs around 124 pounds only.

-It makes use of advanced aerodynamics. The teardrop shape of the car has a lot to do with its performance.

2. Toyota Prius

The Prius utilizes the power split device, an ingenious gearbox that connects the gasoline engine with the electric motor and generator. This allows the car to function like both parallel and series hybrids. The car does not need a starter also, because the device can make the generator start the engine.

Since the vehicle is on planetary gear set, the speed of the electric motor combined with the ring gear spin decides how fast the car will run.

These cars does not require their batteries to be recharged, because the generator located onboard the vehicles monitors the right amount of energy in the batteries.

Both Toyota and Honda allot long warranties for their hybrid models. Both the Insight and the Prius are on eight-year warranties, and their batteries and motors usually do not need maintenance over the duration of the vehicle.

You might be thinking about having people work for you if you are looking at having your own home business. Having a home business is just like having a regular business, so this can be something that you might want to consider doing. You can become completely swamped with work before you know it, if your home business grows very quickly. Therefore, in most cases, having some help might not be a bad idea.

There are some things that you should think about if you are considering hiring people for your home business. You are working out of your home. Always remember to keep that in mind. Your criteria might be different if you were having an employee come to your office building. That means that if you are going to have an employee that comes into your home, you might want to take some things into consideration. Do you feel comfortable with that person in your home? Is the person going to be fine being with your children and/or pets?

There's another thing that you might want to think about when it comes to hiring people to help you in your home business. Would you want them to work online with you, or would you want to have that person actually in your home? Hiring people to work online can be a much easier way to employ people. As your business grows you can simply add more people online. Thus, you wouldn't need to find extra space for employees. Because this is the easiest way to get employees, most people who work from home end up doing it this way.

The bottom line is you must realize that having a home business is just like having a regular business. There are things that you should have if you are going to be hiring people. First of all, each employee should have a clear set of responsibilities that they take care of. You need to be sure that all of your employees have agreed to this and that their responsibilities are in writing. You also want to make sure that you have a clear cut pay rate and pay schedule. You need to be upfront about everything when it comes to how, when, and how much you are going to pay your employees. Remember that it might be tempting to act like friends with your home business employees, and to become friendly with them because you are at home. However, you should always remember to be professional and to make sure that business gets taken care of in a professional way. Above all else, you need to maintain the idea that you are in business.

Hiring a personal trainer if your budget is short

Hiring A Personal Trainer If Your Budget Is Short?

You already aware that personal training will help you a lot in your health as well as your physical fitness, and to do this, you have to decide to hire a Personal Trainer but when you look to their per hour session salary, youll be shock (for a low income individual) a shocking amount of $30 to $150 per hour. And you will ask, are there any alternatives that wont create a black hole in your pocket or simply said affordable? This article will give you some ideas to hire a personal trainer in a very affordable price.

You have to book a session schedule on the off peak hours. Lower rate for training sessions during off peak hours such as afternoon can be offered to most of the fitness gyms. Dont bother to ask, it wont hurt you. But in case if you have your own personal trainer regularly coming to your house, dont hesitate if there is a discount if he/she will train you during afternoon. In other way, your personal trainer will be hesitant accepting your request but he/she will do it for you because of the compromise.

You have to consider also to a shorter sessions. Do you really need to work with a personal trainer for one hour including warming up? Or you have to warm before he/she will be coming to your house so that your training will be done in just 30 minutes. A big 50% discount if you do that.

Be aware if you have a friend with almost the same fitness level so that both of you can invite a personal trainer for a semi private session. One personal trainer will look the fitness both on the two of you.
Form a group of three or five people then hire one personal trainer for your group so that you can reduces the pay. When you do the small group sessions, be sure that you wont miss any of the session because this program wont repeat the previous session or so called make up classes.

Some personal trainers are not fully certified yet. They offer discounted rates because they are in the training to collect experiences so that applying for a certification they will be certified. Therefore, first you have to do is talk to them. Be sure that they are knowledgeable in fitness training. However, if you have any injuries but still you want to hire a personal trainer, consider to hire a trainer with a Physical Therapy degree holder.

Are you really needs a personal trainer that is super star or so called the Master Trainers? Most of the Master Trainers are popular because of they are handsome or beautiful and with charisma so they charge higher rates but the worse case scenario, most of the trainers with lower rates who doesnt have that star quality material can also do much or equal training than the Master Trainers.

When you really need a big discount from a Personal Trainer, be sure you have also something to barter. An example is you have a skill or other service to barter such as you are a website designer, you can offer to him/her to create a website for his/her personal training program.

Others will exchange for something that you have but your personal trainer doesnt have.

Historical timeline for telescopes

Historical Timeline for Telescopes

It seems all the technology for telescopes started back in 2560 BC. Artisans in ancient Egypt polished rocks, glass, and semi-precious stones to make eyes for the sarcophagi. What follows is some major points in the history of how telescopes came to be today.
In 470 BC, Mozi, a chinese philosopher, focused the sun's rays by using concave mirrors.
In 4 BC, Seneca the Younger used water to magnify letters and words.
In 23, Pliny the Elder discovered doctors using a crystal ball with the sun's rays beaming through it to cauterize wounds.
In the ninth century, telescopes were possibly made from Visby lenses, a Middle Eastern glass.
In 1520, Leonard Digges, an English mathematician, invented two telescopes Reflecting and Refracting.
In 1608, A Dutch lensmaker, Hans Lippershey, applied for a patent on a design for a telescope.
In 1609, Galileo improved on Lippershey's design and renamed it perspicillum - An Italian word for telescope.
In 1616, Niccolo Zucchi invented a reflecting telescope.
In 1663, James Gregory, a Scottish mathematician, produces a telescope with a parabolic primary mirror and an elliptical secondary mirror.
In 1668, Isaac Newton designed a telescope using a parabolic primary mirror and a flat diagonal secondary mirror.
In 1733, Chester Moore Hall created the achromatic lens.
In 1880, Ernst Abbe invented the first orthoscopic eyepiece.
In 1910, The Ritchey-Chretien telescope that is used in many of the large astronomical telescopes is invented by George Ritchey and Henri Chretien.
In 1930, The Schmidt camera is created by Bernhard Schmidt.
In 1937, Grote Reber developed a telescope for wavelengths ranging from radio to Xrays.
In 1944, The Maksutov telescope is designed by Dmitri Maksutov.
In 1962, The UK launched an orbiting solar telescope.
In 1990, the Hubble Telescope was launched into space.
In 2013, the James Webb Space Telescope will be launched and take the place of the Hubble.
And this all started with the polishing of a few stones.

Wandering on the top of the world, in the footsteps of the Incas, looking out over the dramatic snow-capped peaks of the Andes and a glorious land of mystery and mysticism, where centuries past and present are seamlessly intermingled.

Perus layer upon layer of great civilizations are spread like patchwork across a country that is a masterpiece of diversity, parched coastal deserts, farming oases, quaint fishing villages, tropical jungle and colonial cities that echo the legacy of the spanish conquistadors.

Amid the sands of Perus arid coast, the hectic metropolis that is Lima, the conquistadors city of the kings, is a culturally rich but modern city on the rise. The center of Spanish power in the New World for three centuries after Pizarro's conquest of Peru, the capital is awash with a considerable legacy of colonial art and architecture, while its museums are bursting with artifacts of gold, ceramic and weavings unearthed from the country's ancient settlements. And with enough ornately decorated churches to get churched-out, theres nothing more rewarding than a Cusquena beer or a frothy Pisco sour in the midst of the upbeat and electric pulse of Limas artsy, bohemian suburb Barranco.

South through the endless sandy dunes that huddle against the cool waters of the Pacific Ocean, the rather unremarkable town of Nasca, a dusty outpost in the San Jos desert, belies an incredible and mysterious memento of ancient culture. Etched into the dry desert outside of town is a mysterious masterpiece of doodles. Appearing as little more than more than a confused jumble of shallow ruts in the sand and rock from ground level, a birds-eye-view reveals immense creatures, shapes and forms spread out for miles across the desert floor, which remain bafflingly clear of sand.

A short flight up into the majestic heights of the Andes offers a modern Mecca of tourism thatll take your breath away not only for the altitude. The narrow streets of Cusco are lined with a mind-boggling mosaic of Inca stonework, which shows no sign of aging even after hundreds of years. Melded right onto these mortar-less walls is the elaborate colonial Spanish architecture, reflecting just a little of the mixed and colorful local culture.

Even higher still, above the city, the jagged teeth of the fortified walls of the sacred Sacsayhuaman offer the first chance to truly feel transported back in time to the realm of the Incas. But its merely a taste of what is still to come.

Heading over the pass, admiring breathtaking vistas of the noble Andes, and down into the fertile sacred Urubamba Valley is the first leg towards the unrivaled journey along the Inca Trail. Leaving behind the gentle riverside trails is a commitment to stride in the stead of a magnificent people. The stouthearted trudge up into the midst of the rugged snowcapped peaks to almost 14,000 feet, where theyre liable to become engulfed in clouds as they reach the infamous Dead Womans Pass.

From there the climate shifts along the hike, and theres no telling what will be around the next turn. Dense highland vegetation gives way to steamy twisted vines and jungle flora until the trail turns sharply left and then heads through a stone archway, the sun gate, and the magical city of Macchu Picchu appears like a mirage, spread out across the hillside ahead, appearing and disappearing from a veil of clouds.

Even after days of hiking, the extra effort to reach the top of the nearby peak of Huayna Picchu is rewarded by a unique perspective on the magnificent beauty of the Incan city that managed to remain hidden from the spanish conquests.

A pleasant train ride back through the sacred valley from the steamy town of Agues Calientes, at the foot of Macchu Picchus mount, offers some well-earned respite to the weary hiker, and an easier route back to Cusco.

Another unique and rewarding train adventure climbs up out of the bustle of tourism in Cusco to higher and cooler altitudes, dotted by mountain villages, where entrepreneurial locals appear from nowhere to offer up colorful array of food, drinks and local handy crafts at every stop. At first dominated by the magnificent Andes that tower over the deep, meandering valleys of the Huatanay River, the train chugs its way back down onto the rolling Andean plains, home to herds of alpaca and the endangered vicuna, to finally reach the shore of Lake Titicaca and the welcome site of the captivating city of Puno. Amid the barren mountains, the cobble-stoned streets, shy campesinos in traditional dress and the tricycle taxis are the true charm of this somewhat grey city.

The waters of Lake Titicaca shine iridescent blue through the clear sunlight in vibrant contrast to the red and brown-hued hills of the altiplano. Among the waves of this mountain ocean are islands that take you back in time and remind you once again of the rich, mixed culture of this stunning country.

Rasa is a concept used in the creation of Hindi songs. This identifies the dominant emotion of a certain composition which can be a simple text or an elaborate song. the hindi literature follows nine distinct types of Rasas. The classification used can be attributed to the times when the chief authorities of literature were nobles and kings. That is why the current batch of film songs have been made to fit the interest of the common people like songs for children and songs of dejection, marriage, and betrayal.

First on the list is Shringar, which involves both virah or separation and milan or being together. It is identified as the make up done by married women in Hindu which signifies a big value in Indian tradition. Other Rasas are Karuna or pathos and compassion, Bhayanak or fear and anxiety, Adabhuta or wonder and curiosity, and Shanta or contemplative and peaceful.

Now lets take a look at some of the common songs during the 20th century which has elicited a great chunk of attention. The movie Barsaat is considered as the trigger of the golden age of Bollywood. It was bannered by a song called Hawa Mein Udta Jaye from the creative input of Ramesh Shastri. The song is depicted by a woman in full joy and feeling of love flinging her scarf carelessly against the wind along the slopes of a mountain.

Another of the classic songs is Mera Joota Hai Japani by Shailendra. It was used in the movie Shree 420. This song became famous particularly in areas of the former Soviet Union. The song gives out a message of proud Indian patriotism even if a certain individual has had the opportunity to step and live on foreign soil.

Jaane kyaa tune kahii is a song about love from the movie Pyaasa. It was made by Sahir Ludhianvi. The song makes use of simple wording in order to bring forth unique hints of passion and love. The beauty of it is that it was able to do so without using equivalent terms for the concept love.

There you go, songs that have placed Hindi within the hearts of the people way beyond the borders of its motherland. Songs do not only allow the expression of feeling and thoughts. It also paves the way for people to learn and incorporate various values into their lives.

History of computer programming

Computer Programming and Its Rich History

If its the history of programming that has to be retold, then it is safe to begin an account with the difference engine of Charles Babbage way back in 1822. Even from the time when computers were so simple, they still needed to have instructions so that they will be able to perform tasks that are inputted to them. This set of instructions is what is known today as computer programming.

During the difference engines era, the gears needed to be changed manually which would then result into the calculations being made. All of that was changed when signals of electricity replaced physical motion with the US Governments 1942 machine named ENIAC. The concept of accepting programming was also followed by this machine.

To make programming faster, two vital concepts which directly influenced programming languages were developed in 1945 by John Von Neumann, who was then with the Institute for Advanced Study. The first concept was known as the shared-program method. This concept dictated that the hardware had to be non-complex and need not be hand-wired for every program. Intricate instructions were used to control this type of hardware which made reprogramming quicker.

The second concept called the conditional control transfer gave birth to code blocks which can be used even in different orders or the so-called subroutines. The next part of the concept was logical branching. With this, the concept of having code blocks that can be used and reused was born.

By 1949, the Short Code language came out. It became the mother of electronic device computer language. With this language, the programmer was required to use 0s and 1s instead of the usual statements. 1951 marked the appearance of compiler named A-0 by Grace Hopper. This program translated all the 0s and 1s for the computer. This gave way to much quicker programming.

FORTRAN (FORmula TRANslating System) was introduced in 1957 which was also the first key language. It was designed for IBM for scientific computation. This language included the GOTO, DO and IF statements. FORTRANs forte was not business computing, though. It was a good program for number handling but not for business computations.

COBOL was then developed in 1959. It was designed as a businessmans language. The COBOLs program was comparable to an essay where there are 4-5 sections comprising a major whole. This made it easier to study.

The LISP language (developed for artificial intelligence study) also known as the Cambridge Polish was developed in 1958 by John McCarthy. This programming language is highly abstract and specific that is why it is still being used today. The LISP can store lists and modify them on its own.

In that same year, the Algol language was produced. This became the mother of the Pascal language, C and C++, and also Java. Algol also had the first proper grammar called the Backus-Naar form or BNF. Algol 68, which was the next version, was a harder version to use. Due to this difficulty, Pascal came into existence.

Niklaus Wirth introduced the Pascal language in 1968. It was a necessary means of teaching then. It was a combination of the following languages: ALGOL, FORTRAN and COBOL. It was also Pascal that improved the pointer data form. Its downfall was caused by its lack of variable groups. Modula-2 then appeared but C was already popular among many users.

C by Dennis Ritchie (1972, used by Unix) was comparable to Pascal but its precursors were the B and BCPL. It is also being used in Windows, Linux and MacOS. OOP (Object Oriented Programming) was developed in 1970s until the 80s. This developed into the C++ language in 1983. This language can manipulate many tasks all at the same time. This is also the chosen language courses in AP Computer Science. In 1987, Perl (Practical Extraction and Reporting Language) was developed.

Java soon followed in 1994. It has yet many goals to reach especially with its slow-running programs. But there are high hopes that a lot is in store in the future for this language. Microsoft has also developed VB or Visual Basic which uses widgets and these are now widely used.

The future holds many more developments for computer programming. It may have started on a crude method but looking at the languages in use today, there were so many developments that we can only wonder what impossibilities could be made possible very soon.

History of canine adult stem cell treatment

History of Canine Adult Stem Cell Treatment

Stem cells have an interesting, and somewhat controversial history. Stem cell research can be traced in the beginning of 1800s with the discovery that some cells could generate other cells. Cells were basically the building blocks of life. This became the start of a medical research towards discovering different aspects of adult stem cell treatment and therapy, whether it is for humans or for animals, like canines.

The history of stem cell research includes work with both animal and human stem cells. Based on their discovery stem cells have three broad categories, (1) totipotent stem cells are found only in early embryo, (2) pluripotent stem cells exist in the undifferentiated inner cell mass of the blastocyst and can form any of the over 200 different cell types found in the body and (3) multipotent stem cells are derived from fetal tissue, cord blood, and adult stem cells.

Early 1900s marked the time when attempts were being made to fertilize mammalia

Hiring an irs dispute lawyer

Hiring an IRS Dispute Lawyer

Most people would probably break a cold sweat just by the mere mention of the IRS. Admittedly, dealing with an IRS agent can be one of the most absolutely terrifying experiences in an ordinary individuals life. So what would you do if a ferocious IRS agent crosses your path and tries to adamantly get into your past tax records?

The Internal Revenue System is basically responsible with collecting federal taxes and their no nonsense attitude can be quite intimidating to say the least. If you are one of the many guilty people who have not paid their taxes for several years, then you might want to seriously consider getting a competent IRS dispute lawyer. You dont have to endure any more sleepless nights and constantly bite your fingernails in abject misery. In fact, there is completely no reason for you to personally deal with any IRS agent if you would retain the services of an IRS dispute lawyer that will represent you.

The main advantage of hiring an IRS dispute lawyer is the fact that he will be the main communication contact between you and the IRS. You wont have to answer any of the menacing questions that would probably reduce you to a blubbering idiot. An IRS dispute lawyer is more capable and knowledgeable with your rights and can adeptly put the agents in their place should they try to overstep beyond their bounds. So when finally deciding to hire an IRS dispute lawyer, here are some critical issues that you would want to focus on:

Specialization

You need to look for a lawyer that specializes in mitigating tax dispute cases. All lawyers have their own field of specialization, so your family lawyer will simply not do. Choose those lawyers who have a more extensive experience in dealing with your particular situation.

Comfort

Dealing with tax issues can turn out to be quite stressful and having to divulge personal and critical information on the status of your finances to a perfect stranger can frazzle your nerves. So be sure to choose a lawyer that you are adequately comfortable with, or ask for some referrals from your close friends.

Licensing

Of course you need to do your own homework and do some background checks before entrusting your financial fate to an IRS dispute lawyer. You can do an online check if he is really a licensed legal practitioner in your state and if there have been some complaints filed against that lawyer.

Fees

Before formally hiring the services of a tax lawyer, it would be advisable to ask that everything should be put into writing the exact items that you will be billed for. After all you would want to know what youre getting into and save your finances in the long run.

Time

Try to know how long the prospective lawyer has been in practice and if he has a good reputation among his colleagues. You need to know if they have sufficient experience in dealing with tax cases.

In part one of our article series (one of three) about famous album cover art, we discussed a couple of iconic Beatle album covers and some controversial album covers by other artists. Lets continue our discussion with part two of our series.

The Rolling Stones make our list for their 1968 album called Beggars Banquet. It was the first cover not to feature a band photograph; instead the Stones decided to use a picture of an unsightly, filthy bathroom with graffiti-laced walls. The record label in the U.K. (Decca) and the U.S. label, London Records, both balked at the cover (it was considered to be in poor taste) and a bitter three-month legal battle began. The Rolling Stones lost the battle and the album was replaced with an elegant formal party invitation (but the cover was restored for CD pressings in the mid 80's).

Naughty bathroom behavior album cover first surfaced in 1966, when the Mamas & the Papas released their LP called If You Can Believe Your Eyes And Ears. The cover, a picture of the flower power quartet squeezed into an old bathtub next to a toilet, apparently received so many complaints that the record company (Dunhill) was compelled to rush out a replacement cover, with graphics that promoted the groups hit singles blocking the offending toilet. They even went so far as to issue yet another cover, this time removing the toilet completely.

Middle fingers have always been taboo on album covers and the outrage began in 1957 when Capitol Records released an album by the doo wop group the Five Keys. An innocent cover, it pictured the vocal group posing together in snazzy suits. But it seems that lead singer Rudy Wests forefinger was imagined by some to be a specific part of the male anatomy. So a decision was made for subsequent issues to have the finger in question airbrushed out.

Moby Grapes self-titled release in 1967, also had a finger of prominence displayed incorrectly, but the album cover was quickly airbrushed by Columbia Records.

A misplaced(?) finger/thumb caused another uproar in 1971 when Warner Brothers released Alice Coopers new album called Love It To Death. His gesture was not taken too well and was censored, the middle finger being airbrushed away. In fact, four different versions of the front cover exist, apparently in the picture his thumb could possibly be mistaken for a specific part of the male anatomy.

David Bowies cover art featuring a half-dog, half-Bowie figure (painted by Guy Peellaert) for his 1974 album called Diamond Dogs, caused quite a stir. Apparently, the record company (RCA) did not like the fact that the Bowie-dog was anatomically correct and had the offending appendage airbrushed out on subsequent releases.

Apparently, pulling bubble gum off of a womans exposed breast is a major crime, or at the very least, a reason to reissue an album cover. Or so, that is what the german heavy metal band the Scorpions found out in 1979 with their album release called Loverdrive. The album cover features a man and a woman sitting in the backseat of a car, with the man removing the scandalous bubble gum from her breast. It was subsequently reissued with a black cover with a blue scorpion on it (thankfully the scorpion was fully-clothed). The band had another album (Virgin Killer) cover nixed because of a nude cover of a young girl.

In 1994, scandal found the rock group called the Black Crowes, because their album cover Amorica showed pubic hair from a Hustler magazine photograph. The close-up of a womans mid-section in a bikini, apparently exhibits too much hair and made the public uncomfortable. Pressured by powerful conservative retail chains, the record company (Universal) had to reissue an alternative cover, just a bikini over a black background (sans the offending hair).

In our third part of our series about controversial album cover art, we will again turn our focus to offensive album covers.

When advertising is considered from its entire history it is not surprising at all that it currently maintains such a significant factor in our lives and society. The history of advertising can be traced all the way back to the people of Babylonia and was present in several societies from that time forward. Moving forward outdoor adevertsing was implemented announce such things as properties for rent and sites where food and drink was available in places such as Rome.

It seems that weve all heard various tales of town criers and the travels to various villages to spread the days most significant news. But, these traveling announcers also delivered promotional pieces detailing the positive qualities of various products. The products producers of course were behind the promotions.

Although, the property advertisements were a form a graphic advertising it wasnt until 1472 that the first printed ad appeared in England. What was for sale? As one indicator of issues and products of importance toda
